Mos Def.

Mos Def is one of hip-hop's fastest rising stars. His recent film and music work has earned him the respect of fans and fellow artists alike.

His rhyme style is laid-back and lyrical...and burts at the seems. He is in high demand as a collaborator, working with the likes of Co Flow, the Roots, De La, and Q-Tip, to name but a few.

In 1998 he teamed up with Talib Kweli for the excellent Black Star LP, followed by his critically acclaimed solo disc, Black on Both Sides (1999). Mos is currently working with a live rock band called Jack Johnson, and flexing his acting skills in feature films such as MTV's Carmen and Spike Lee's Bamboozled. What a geezer...
